ANGELA COOKE
FILM DIRECTOR & PRODUCER
As a director and producer who stepped into filmmaking later in life, having raised my family. I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue filmmaking seriously by attending a film school, to begin to learn and understand the craft of filmmaking and giving my voice to the stories I always wanted to tell.
Currently, in development is my first feature film about Fiona, a woman of colour in her 50s, whose world is shattered after the sudden loss of her husband.
As Fiona struggles through raw grief, she is encouraged by her best friend, Evelyn, to return to a dream she once buried; singing.
This film creates an emotionally rich story about women, loss, friendship, and second chances, regardless of age.
Accomanpanied by rich jazz and soul music.
